statistics – How do they come up with texas holdem poker stats?
How do they come up with the % to win in a poker game. For instance, if Person A has a 4 and 2 of hearts and Person B has an Ace of diamonds and 5 of spades initially. How do they know that person A has a 37% chance of winning? What formula are they using to come up with that percentage?
I need the probabalility formula.

There are a finite amount of possible hands in poker – with the combination of cards in someone’s hand and those shown on the table, you can figure out which hands are possible; once you know the cards that have been dealt/shown, you likewise know what cards remain. Then, it becomes a matter of probability – you figure out what possible hands will be formed with the remaining cards, and out of all those possible outcomes, you can see how many combinations result in that player beating any other, giving you a percentage.
Edit: You’re not going to get a single equation, it’s far too complex. Easiest way is to find software that will do it for you – try http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tools/odds-calculator/texas-holdem as an example, or use Google
