Someone told me there is a Texas Holdem Poker table game at casinos?
Is this true or are they confused. I thought that it was just a poker game that you played against other people.

They are right. It is definitely a table game. I played it just a few weeks ago. There is more info about how the game is played and a list of places where you can play the game online at http://answerspot.blogspot.com/2006/06/casino-texas-holdem-poker-is-table.html

It is a table game, but not all Casinos offer it. I have played at Bally’s in Atlantic City. They have a big poker room.
Foxwoods in Connecticut also has a poker room.
Mohegan Sun in Connecticut DOES NOT have a poker room.

This is a table game recently invented by David Sklansky and newly marketed to the casino’s. It appears to be catching on but cannot be beat.

There are Texas hold em table games now at the Casinos where the dealer deals from a shoe to six or seven players. All the players are playing against the dealer not against each other.
This game is played on the casino floor and NOT in the poker rooms.

yes, they have this game, it is a huge joke, imagine actually playing poker, where you keep putting money in the pot, and your opponent never folds, that is esentially what the dealer does in this game. you have to make a raise bet to see each additional community card, and the dealer never folds. dont bother with this game. you will have more fun actually playing real poker in a poker room.
