@funnycarrot umm, give me a short time to think about that one. maybe because
1. He’s not a microstakes player
2. AK is a drawing hand preflop, all be it a pretty good drawing hand
3. He is one of the big stacks on the table. Why risk it all with nothing (absolutely nothing)

@kostas2419 That was a bluff. You cant call an 8 outer anything but a bluff after a reraise and then an open raise off the flop. Great Bluff. He put him on either 8s or AK. great read, great bet.

If he had the high pocket pair he would’ve been all-in pre flop, and he would never call with less than AQ, AJ is garbage at that point. he figures worse case scenario split pot, he didnt do anything great..

@thomasmoonman well-put and i agree, he did a good job of using his position to get a good read on his opponent… he knows that every one of his pre-flop raises and the all-in bet would make sense if he was playing something like TT or JJ in the hole and had just flopped a set, nice bluff
